MAEIA Advocacy Course

Objective: To support arts teachers in developing compelling advocacy narratives based on their passion. Inspired in part by the books Living Proof: Telling Your Story to Make a Difference, and teachers will explore themes of learning, community engagement, personal brand, and storytelling. Teachers will analyze arts education advocacy and policy at the local, state, and national level to gain an understanding of funding systems. Teachers will share their WHY and unique experiences to engage stakeholders and garner support for their arts education program.
